The Ontario government has enacted Rowan’s Law, a law specifically dealing with concussions in sport. As a result, players and parents must review the information linked below in order for your registration to be considered complete and to allow you to participate with Leeds Chargers Minor Hockey.

Please review the following information prior to arriving at the arena for conditioning camp and tryouts. This will only take a few minutes but is a necessary requirement.

The HEO Code of Conduct is located at

http://www.hockeyeasternontario.ca/pages/admin/policies.htm

and the applicable age-appropriate Concussion Awareness Resources are as follows:

• 10 and Under Concussion Awareness Resource
• 11-14 Concussion Awareness Resource
• 15 and Over Concussion Awareness Resource

The HEO Concussion Code of Conduct and the appropriate Concussion Awareness Resources must be reviewed before you can register/participate in HEO.

If someone other than a parent is bringing your child to the arena for the first ice time please print the HEO Rowan’s Law Acknowledgment Form and send it to the arena with your child. If you have any questions or problems accessing the concussion materials please contact our Risk & Safety Director, Neil Kudrinko.
