Leeds Chargers Awards and Recognition Banquet
The Leeds Chargers proudly hosted our annual Awards and Recognition Banquet on Sunday, April 6, at Rideau District High School, bringing together our players, families, and community supporters to celebrate an outstanding season of youth hockey.
A Day of Celebration
U7 Ceremony (1:00–2:00 PM)
Our U7 program enjoyed a fantastic turnout, with families coming together to honour our youngest Chargers and the generous sponsors who support their development. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Village of Westport and the Township of Athens for their invaluable contributions. Their support has helped offset program costs and drive growth in U7 registration.
The event featured:
-
A slideshow of season highlights
-
Fun prize draws
-
Lunch and community gathering
-
On-stage recognition of each participant with a completion certificate, trophy, and a special gift from the association
The joy and pride on our players’ faces made this a truly memorable celebration.
U9–U18 Recognition (2:30 PM onward)
The second part of the day welcomed players from U9 through U18, with nearly 200 more attendees than last year—a record turnout! The celebration included:
-
Team slideshows and coach recaps
-
Draws for fun prizes and treats
-
Pizza lunch
-
Association and team awards presentations
One lucky draw winner, Jacob Ross, walked away with a free registration for the 2025–2026 season—congratulations, Jacob!
