Leeds Minor Hockey Association will be holding tryouts in September. Please read the following information carefully to ensure a smooth registration and tryout process.

Tryout Fees & Registration

• Tryout Fee: $70
• Payment: Payment is required by credit card at the time of registration.
• No Walk-Ons: All players must be registered in advance. Walk-on registrations will not be accepted.
• Tryout Jersey: Players will receive a tryout jersey at their first tryout. The jersey is theirs to keep and must be worn throughout the tryout process unless otherwise directed by LMHA.

Rep Team Fees

Players who are successful in making a Rep team will be required to pay an additional Rep Team Fee of no more than $250 per player.

• This fee includes up to 20 additional practice sessions required to meet HEO Pathways guidelines.
• Payment will be made to the LMHA Treasurer at treasurer@leedschargers.com.
• Teams may also require seed money or fundraising to cover tournaments and other team expenses. These costs are managed at the team level and are not included in the LMHA Rep Team Fee.

Important Registration Information

Rep B Tryouts

Registration for a Rep B tryout automatically includes the B House tryout if the player is not successful at the Rep level.

Do not register for both Rep B and B House.

B House Tryouts

Players who are not interested in trying out for Rep B may register directly for the B House tryout.

Goalie Evaluations

Goalie evaluations will take place during the regular tryout sessions.

Evaluators will be present for all three tryout dates, so goalies do not need to register for a separate goalie evaluation.

Tentative 2026/2027 Teams

The following teams have been declared by LMHA. These are not yet confirmed at the UCMHL level and are subject to change.

• U9 Tier 2
• U9 Tier 3 — included in the Tier 2 tryout fee for players trying out for Tier 2
• U9 Tier 4
• U11 B House
• U11 C House
• U13 B Rep
• U13 B House — included in the B Rep tryout fee
• U13 C House
• U15 B House
• U15 C House
• U18 B Rep
• U18 B House — U18 sort sessions will be held if required

Trying Out at a Higher Level

If LMHA does not offer a particular level of play and a player wishes to participate at a higher level elsewhere, please refer to HEO policies and procedures for information regarding the applicable process.

Tryout release requests will be reviewed only when required and will be signed within a reasonable timeframe once they are needed.
